Perum Peruri atau dapat disebut Perusahaan Umum Percetakan Uang Republik Indonesia, merupakan sebuah perusahaan Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) yang ditugasi untuk mencetak uang rupiah (baik uang kertas maupun uang logam) bagi Republik Indonesia, sesuai dengan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 32 tahun 2006. Selain mencetak uang rupiah Republik Indonesia, juga mencetak produk sekuriti lainnya, termasuk mencetakan kertas berharga non uang dan logam non uang. Awal mula Perum Peruri didirikan pada tahun 15 September 1971, merupakan gabungan dari dua perusahaan, yaitu PN. Pertjetakan Kebajoran dan PN. Artha Yasa sesuai dengan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 60 tahun 1971, selanjutnya diubah dengan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 25 tahun 1982, kemudian diubah dengan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 34 tahun 2000 dan disempurnakan untuk terakhir kalinya melalui Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 32 tahun 2006.
Perum Peruri sesuai Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 32 tahun 2006, Perum Peruri diberikan tugas dan tanggung jawab untuk mencetak uang Rupiah (uang kertas dan uang logam), buku paspor, materai, pita cukai dan buku/ sertifikat tanah. Menjadi satu-satunya Perusahaan Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) di bidang Percetakan Uang di Indonesia, tugas utama Perum Peruri adalah menyelenggarakan usaha mencetak uang rupiah Republik Indonesia (baik uang kertas maupun uang logam) untuk Bank Indonesia serta mencetak produk kertas berharga non uang sesuai pesanan perusahaan pemesan.
